I bought it mostly for the mushroom design and it looks even cuter in person. The details are deep enough that the concrete picked them up nicely. I’m planning to paint this one for the side garden.
I used a regular stepping stone mix and took my time pressing it into the details. After it cured, the mold pulled away without a fight. Definitely tap the sides to get bubbles out.
Mine came packed in a basic box with paper around the molds. No cracks or bent edges. I like that the designs are large enough to actually see once they’re in the garden.
I made the sunflower first and left it natural gray. It looks really nice near my pots. I’m going to try painting the butterfly next because the wing details are so pretty.
The mold itself worked well. My first mix was a little too wet, so the edge wasn’t perfect. Second try was much better after I used less water and let it cure longer.
I used a bagged step stone mix and it filled the design nicely. I added a small piece of mesh in the middle because I wanted it for the yard path. Very happy with the result.
