At the age of 23, I joined the United States Marine Corps, serving with the 6th Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment.
I entered the military with one purpose:

During my service, I was deployed to Iraq and experienced many dangerous missions.

In 2006, I was wounded during a mission, and my military career came to an end.
Leaving the Marine Corps meant leaving behind the identity and purpose I had known for years.
Then, in 2010, I lost my wife in a tragic accident.
With two children depending on me, I had to find the strength to move forward.
I realized my mission had changed.
I was no longer protecting people on the battlefield.
I was protecting my family.
To rebuild my life, I returned to my small workshop.
One day, I picked up a piece of old scrap metal.
It was worn, marked, and weathered — but still strong.
It reminded me of the people who have faced hardship.
We may carry scars from the past, but we can still become something meaningful.
